Meanwhile, we want to make sure you are aware of a couple upcoming events and programs:

Friday, April 5, 2024: PARSOL Perspectives Event: Treatment Models and Advocacy for One’s Own Care (Dr. Jennifer Weeks, Ph.D., LPC, CSAT-S, CMAAT, CAADC)

Saturday, April 13, 2024: Pennsylvania Fearless Support Group

Tuesday, April 16, 2024: PARSOL Book Club Book: Under Our Roof by Congresswoman Madeleine Dean and Harry Cunnane

Tuesday, April 30, 2024: Lobbying Day at the Harrisburg Capitol Complex

PARSOL is now regularly asked to weigh in on criminal justice issues and legislation working its way through the state capitol, but visits from our staff are not enough. We need individuals from all corners of the Commonwealth to be willing to contact their elected officials and push for meaningful change in our laws and public policy. That’s why we’re holding our 2024 Spring Lobby Day on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Please learn more at https://parsol.org/sld. No experience is needed as our lobbying team will provide training and even go with you to meetings. It’s especially helpful for persons forced to register and/or a concerned family member to tell their story while our team backs up your story with facts, numbers, and expert-backed research. Other Updates

  • We continue to anxiously await the Supreme Court of PA’s ruling in the Commonwealth vs. Torsilieri case. Our Torsilieri HQ page contains more information about this must-follow case for persons forced to register in Pennsylvania.
  • We need volunteers to help us grow our programs, services, and resources for persons forced to register, their families, and their communities. Please consider volunteering today at https://parsol.org/volunteer.
  • As we approach the end of the first quarter, we also need financial support to invest in infrastructure and program expenses we continue to encounter as we work to change the narrative around persons with sexual crimes in PA. If you can help with a donation, please visit our secure donation site at https://secure.parsol.org/donate-2024.

Thank you for your support!
